2021 Year End Review: Year of SOUL โœจ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝโœจ

When will you begin that long journey into yourself? ~ Rumi

Each year I go through a deep process of reviewing my year. I explore the yearโ€™s many journals, photos, and projects with an intention of harvesting gems and soaking up lessons.

From there, I create something out of it and I am excited that after five months in the making, my Year of SOUL webpage is ready to be shared with you!

Year of SOUL was one of the best and most challenging years of my life:

๐Ÿ”นI moved through heartbreak, grief and depression.
๐Ÿ”ธI birthed the School of Unconditional Love and itโ€™s first Love & Liberation course.
๐Ÿ”นI began co-hosting soulful, magical, heart-nourishing parties in the forest
๐Ÿ”ธ got grounded and landed a real job for the first time in a long time.
๐Ÿ”นI lost myself only to find myself again.

Every year I chose a teacher, a sensei, a guide and for 2021 I chose SOUL.

What is the SOUL? There are a wide range of viewpoints, to me, the soul is the undying essence inside each of us. The eternal that takes our body for a ride. I associate it with divinity, spirituality, and intuition.

How does one know theyโ€™re living from the seat of their soul? To me it feels like FLYING. I close my eyes and I feel a bird rising from my chest...soaring. I feel the interconnectedness of all things ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฟ

I am at peace with the world and within myself. I simply am ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

This year my soul carried me. I went through hell and back. Lost myself only to find myself again. In afro-indigenous numerology, where they see life in cycles of nine, last year was my Year 9: Death & Rebirth.

And thatโ€™s exactly how it felt. I struggled with heartbreak, grief, rejection, financial stress, depression, and burnout. Quite the inner work cocktail.

But with my soul as my guide, I made it through.

Year of SOUL gave me an opportunity to empty myself so I could fill it and create from that place of unconditional love ๐Ÿ’—

In creating this year end review, I reviewed twenty six journals, hundreds of photos, listened to readings (astrology, akashic records, hypnotherapy etc.) and examined the many projects I undertook in 2021.

I also spent three days in solo retreat and many hours in contemplation and creation.

While it was quite the undertaking and no one asked me to do it ๐Ÿ˜†. This is the gift ๐Ÿ’ I give myself every year and I am so proud to share it with you!

THANK YOU to all of those who have supported me throughout the years and especially in 2021.

It was a rough ride but here we are RISING TOGETHER ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹

My intention in sharing this is to be seen, witnessed, and celebrated in the fullness of who I am.

I also hope this offering serves as an inspiration and that it may plant a seed towards living, designing, and creating your life with intention.

I welcome any words of wisdom, affirmation or delight you have to share ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

So 2021 Year of Soul, here we go!
