Speaking at Culture Summit 2022

Recently had the pleasure of speaking at Culture Summit on behalf of Late Nite Art ⚡️

What a joy to be surrounded by fellow culture leaders and people geeks. It feels so good to be around “your people”. I hadn’t been to a conference in years and I was a kid in a candy shop, soul-cial butterfly to the max 🦋

While I’ve been leading Late Nite Art for almost 5 years now, this one came together in an UNBELIEVABLE way and showed me the power of the group.

Through a succession of art-based exercises and DJ Lotus on the ones x twos 🎧🌸🎶, people dropped the F in. Fully present having visual conversations without words, sharing stories of their WHY, drawing playful potraits to capture their partner’s essence…transforming a personal challenge into a meaningful question for the group to share their wisdom, insight and ideas.

A testimonial from an attendee, “For me personally, I decided to stick around for Late Nite Art activity where I experienced the true power of vulnerability. While we talk about this a lot, I was blown away by how raw and open the group was. Despite how deeply uncomfortable it made me, by practicing that gradual build up to vulnerability I experienced first hand how powerful this was to bond us as group and this has really stuck with me.”

Yes, that’s exactly how we design Late Nite Art, gradually deepening over time. What a special experience.

Closing circle was FUEGO 🔥. Folks spoke to the art of hosting, serendipitous & deep hearted connections from Charlotte, NC all the way to Saudi Arabia, sense of belonging, vulnerability, and being seen, the very last moment at closing circle ⭕️ a woman spoke to everyone, she said “You are enough. You are amazing. You are special, unique, gifted. The world is better because of you. Get out there and LIVE” 😭😭😭🤩🤩🤩

While not every day of my work is like this, these are the moments I give my all for.

Big ups to the NEW cool kids, the people and culture kids who are making inclusive the new cool. Here’s to all those who believe in the power of humanity. Heres to all those working to change themselves and their orgs for the better. Here’s to Late Nite Art and it’s ability to transform strangers into friends.
