Love & Liberation Poem 🌳
SPOKEN these words on my heart got me cracked
OPEN my soul’s longing to return to love in every
MOMENT life flies by in a blink of an eye, it’s time be
AWOKEN spiritual amnesia where we’ve forgotten that we’re
CHOSEN to fulfill our soul’s mission to give this dark world some
HOPIN the systems we live in are brutalized and
BROKEN the fires in our hearts each day they keep
STOKEN what can we do? how do we stop this pain from
GROWIN 🌱
The answer is simple and we celebrate it tonight
LOVE & LIBERATION will give our soul’s flight ❤️🔥
Together in solidarity, we dance, we laugh, we shake
Masks off, hands up, we’ve got a movement to make
No time like the present, we’re alive here and now
Love whispers softly, liberation screams out loud
It was the great Maya Angelou who said it best
LOVE LIBERATES
So let’s put our weapons to rest 🙏🏽
If we put half the energy in that we put towards fighting
We’d create so much power, we’d be living lighting ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Oh you don’t think you’re worthy of unconditional love?
Well take a look around you, thank your ancestors above
This is our moment, this is our time, we won’t get it back
No dress rehearsals, no makeup tests, is your soul on track?
We must not waste our lives on things that don’t matter
Get livin, get lovin, get saucey, that’s why we gather 🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿
